FINCA Zambia Hosts First Mentorship Talk for Women in Leadership
FINCA Zambia recently held its first Female Leadership Mentorship Talk, bringing together our female Board Directors: Director Teresa Mara – Munlo, Director Jessica Chisompola, Director Betty Wilkinson along with all our female managers.
The session was open, interactive, and filled with honest conversations about leadership, growth, and supporting one another. The Board shared personal stories from their own journeys, and managers contributed their experiences, making the session feel more like a meaningful dialogue than a formal event.
A key highlight was the discussion around building strong mentor–mentee relationships. The group explored the importance of trust, openness, curiosity, and embracing different perspectives to help both parties grow.
We also openly addressed self‑doubt and imposter syndrome, something many leaders face quietly. Together, we discussed practical ways to overcome it from challenging limiting thoughts to recognizing past achievements and leaning on mentors when confidence dips.
This mentorship talk marks the first of many more to come, as FINCA Zambia continues creating spaces where women can learn, connect, and grow together.
