Last month, FINCA Zambia had the privilege of hosting the annual Global board meeting consisting of FINCA International and FINCA Impact Finance (FIF/FI) team. During their visit, FINCA Zambia organized a Customer Bazaar at Sarovar Hotel where the FINCA Global leadership Team (GLT) had an incredible opportunity to engage with three remarkable women entrepreneurs (Wanita, Angela and Getrude) who are transforming their communities through their businesses. This enriching experience allowed the FINCA delegation to gain invaluable insights on how FINCA is impacting clients lives in Zambia and the challenges clients face mainly due to climate change.

In their engagement, the women shared their journeys, highlighting the obstacles they face such as sourcing cheaper sustainable financial solutions. They also spoke passionately about their achievements and expressed the desire for FINCA to help address challenges posed by climate change, advocating for sustainable practices and solutions that could support their businesses. The GLT were happy with the interaction and in turn, supported the women entrepreneurs by buying some of their hand made African attires.
