One of our major partners, The Master Card Foundation (MCF) visited Zambia on learning tour as part of monitoring the implementation of the Scaling Financial Inclusion in Sub-Saharan Africa (SFISSA) a 4-5 year project seeking to support Zambia roll-out Delivery Channels, build capacity of its middle to senior management staff and set up systems to track impact of FINCA Zambia’s financial services to Customers.

Sumaiya Sajjad the Programs Manager at MCF and Nathan Were the SFISSA Project Manager held meetings with the Management Board at FINCA Zambia, toured branches and held Focus group discussions with customers learning from their experiences and aspirations.

The visit helped the team witness first-hand the progress FINCA Zambia has registered on the SFISSA project, now in its second year of implementation. Branch Upgrades from marketing office to full cash handling branches, steps towards the deployment of Agency Banking and Staff training are some of the areas great successes have been achieved.
