On 3rd August, 2018, his worship the Mayor of Kitwe City Mr. Chirstopher Kang’ombe officially opened our new and refurbished branch in Kitwe.

In his opening speech, the Mayor noted that FINCA is embarking on a modernization plan across its branch network that will allow enhanced customer experience for all customers. “FINCA prides itself in being a community based financial institution, we commend them for the work they do in providing financial services”, his worship said.

Meanwhile FINCA Zambia’s CEO Mr. Douglas Kamwendo said FINCA is an unconventional community based Financial Institution that responsibly provides innovative and impactful financial services to enable income generating micro-enterprises and SME’s to invest in their futures.

“The modernization of our branch network speaks to our strategy to ensure that we offer the best customer experience to our customers. We leverage on relevant technologies to place financial power in the hands of our customers. We recently launched our mobile banking platform FINCA Mobile and in 2015 launched our Agent Banking channel FINCA Express, where our customers access their accounts through a biometric point of sale machine.

We believe that technology and human interface are not mutually exclusive; branches such as this one ensure that we continue to provide the relevant face-to-face interface with our customers”, Mr. Kamwendo said.
